“Strengthening
women’s leadership and participation in politics and decision-making in Algeria, Morocco
and Tunisia”
Women and politics in Maghreb: a
specialised web site
The United
Nations International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of
Women (UN-INSTRAW) and The Center of Arab Women for
Training and Research (CAWTAR) launch the website of the
project "Strengthening women's leadership and participation in politics
and decision-making in Algeria,
Morocco and Tunisia” financed by the government of Spain.
The website provides the users access to useful information on topics related
to women's political participation as well as resource materials. It also provides to media, actors of the
civil society, general public, women and men politicians, academics etc.
information on project activities and its achievements.
Designed through a participatory approach, the site
uses the latest information and communication technologies as key figures,
videos, podcasts, quizzes, polls, SMS, as well as a facebook group and a forum
for discussion that will be launched this year.
Aiming to
make this site an interactive space, we invite visitors to collaborate to its
enrichment and to communicate new information and ideas.
