National Policy Briefs
CAWTAR’s regional project on Arab Women in Local
Governance has produced policy briefs as key advocacy tools to promote women
participation as leaders, candidates and voters. Each of the following
policy-briefs is tailored in line with the findings of national
study.
It contains brief description of the context along with recommendations
of specific interventions that expected to foster local dialogue and the
processes of women’s voice building as autonomous players in development and
the performance of different local governments structures (that is local
councils, townships and villages). The policy-briefs can be used by advocacy
groups, the media and women organizations as well as decision-makers and women
leaders of local administrations.
