Arab Media Interest in Project of Arab Women and Local Governance

 The Arab women and local governance project was covered by local and Arab newspapers and websites: 30 press articles written by journalists who are members of the Project’s network of Arab Women and Local Governance  and by other Arab media people who were attracted by the project.

 The regional workshop held in June 2006 in Algeria on “Arab Women and Political Participation: from Concept to Practice in Local Governance” covered by several Arab newspapers and websites:  the “Arab Women’s Gateway” site took interest in the workshop’s  deliberations while the other newspapers focused on specific  topics tackled in the workshop.

 The member journalists presented distinguished contributions which urged local newspapers to write on the national roundtables  held as part of the project.
